Someone suggested contacting JCPenney's through Planet Feedback for a goodwill adjustment. Which department should I go through ? I'm there now & the name that is showing [if I send it now] says it would go to a CEO . Shouldn't I be contacting customer service instead ?
No. I think mine went directly to CEO's office too. The office that actually responded to mine is called the Client Affairs Dept. Then at the bottom is has office of Client Operations. They deleted all negs on my acct. I would definately go through exec office. If you go through customer service reps it is almost like calling in. Anyway, just my opinion. Good luck.
They wrote me a letter about 2-3 weeks after I sent planet feedback. However, once I received this letter the changes had already been made. I remember pulling my credit report and noticing the negs were gone. However, it was like a week later before I heard from them confirming it. They were really nice about it. Wish you the best of luck!
how did you word a request through PFB/ do you include a reason why you had the lates, ask for their mercy, offer up your first born( LOL) , what do I request? I have never used the PFB board, and don't really know what I am asking for... Only Equifax is reporting. TU and Exp removed when I disputed late payments. do I risk getting the item reinstated on TU and Exp? EQ says PAYS AS AGREED Prior Paying History 30 days past due 04 times; 60 days past due 01 times; 90 + days past due 00 times; I have not used this account since '2000. Would start using it again if it will provide a positive entry...
Do a search for "goodwill adjustment". You can use a variation of this letter. Basically its a sob story requesting deletion of late pays. It works, I promise. One other note, after you PFB them, wait a couple of days then re-dispute with EQ. good luck
I told them that they were the first card I ever had. Then I told them that I had been a very good customer for 10 years. I reminded them that the lates that I had all occurred within an isolated period of time when I was having a financial crisis. I told them that I planned to apply for a mortgage really soon and I was worried that the negs that they report might hurt my chances. I also told them that those late payments do not reflect how I pay my bills today since they ocurred so long ago. Stuff like that. Oh and I threw in how much I love shopping at JCP and stuff like that. 99% of the stuff I wrote was absolutely the truth. The part about shopping there all the time was absolutely not true. LOL
