Jlynn, I have searched and still very confused over what you mean by Promissory Notes I may have signed. You are like the only one that knows anything about them. I am trying to sort the riff from the raff. I do not recall much when the paramedics arrived besides showing them my drivers license. I have 3 ambulance bills. Are those promissory notes too? I recall having to sign papers in order to be admitted to the hospital emergency room. I recall the tests they gave me. That is all they did for me. So what you're saying is when I was admitted into the emergency what I signed is a Promissory Note? I signed a promise to pay with interest. Or you do not know for sure? I never saw any doctors out of there or was not admitted into the hospital overnight. I found this site that helped describe what a PN according to Nevada but it does not sound at all medically related. :-| http://biz.findlaw.com/banking_financing/nolo/ency/4D5D24AD-C96F-4DEE-A83DF57881D3DB55.html Thanks anyway if that was all you knew about them. Gretch
Oh dear, I didn't make myself clear. I am not sure that a medical account is a promissory note. I was hoping by questioning it in your thread, maybe someone else knew for sure and would chime in I read the link you provided, and the funny thing is, I thought a car loan was a written contract for SOL purposes! (I still believe it is, but that site is confusing). If no one here can tell us without a doubt what SOL medical falls under, the only option I can think of is to contact an attorney in Nevada. You want to be sure!
Jlynn, I am on it! I got a card! Now if I only had a car to get down there. LOL I bumped into two paralegals last night that work for the firm that protects my employer. The paralegals told me to just come on down and tell them where I am from and they would take good care of me, get me a free consultation. I will make an appointment and bring all my uncertainties and DOLAS down there. Thanks again, Gretchen
