Do you think it would be worth the effort to pursue CA paid charge offs that have for what ever reason pulled AR's after the fact ? (Is that what happened with Home Depot?) It appears that almost all the the settled paid accounts of my wife's show some AR's after the paid settlements? I would imagine that the CA's will simply ignore my requests, as I am not looking for new battles. (Most of the settled tradelines are falling off now anyway.) But hey you had some GREAT success with Home Depot! I was wondering If I should pursue maybe a old Providian and Capital One accounts in the same manner? Dog
After further review it appears that Asset Acceptance is the main and only one . They pulled 2 AR's after we settled with them. F%ck it, I think I will sue their lazy a$$es! Dog
ROFL!!!!!!!! For about $10 in CRRR's envelopes, ink, etc. I am $1500 wealthier. What do you think I would say??????
Actually I can't do much in regards to lawsuits, as my wife is common law marriage and we don't have the same last name or accounts, (other then a recent assigned Cap One). So the hassle factor of me even trying to talk to a CA or CRA or CB is more pain then it is worth. I have done everything so far by CCCR's and had average to good overall success so far. Asset Accept will simply ignore the letters and only be forced to make any decision at all when they are actually sued! (I was thinking if it was non-collection company that I would pursue it as the odds may favor a more positive response, allowing for the fact that my wife does not totally understand all that I am doing for her in regards to her credit reports and time off work for her would be costly and overall unprofitable allowing for only the most positive results, such as your case with Home Depot.) Again, it is just my opinion. Maybe some in here have had fantastic success with AR's from Asset Acceptance? I could be wrong, but for me to pursue it on behave of my common law wife it is just too much hassle. Dog P.S. If someone in here has had an easy time or quick kill dealing with Asset Accept! I will type the letter today!
I had Asset Accept a year ago, fist I dispute w/ Exp came back verified, 2nd time the CR came back "NO STATUS, ACCount in disputed" for 6 month, 3rd time dispute..gone!
Yes I understand, that is about the same type results I am having with them with two small paid collections at about .40 cents on the dollar. The negative tradelines will all go away in a few months regardless if I sue them or not! ........ but what I was kind of wondering about is actual court or lawsuit type action. I doubt if you could talk them into sending you $1,500 for some violations, unless your court date with them was tomorrow? But hey anything is possible. Dog
