If anyone is interested in doing some landscaping this spring....I thought the John Deere card was easy to get. Instant online approval (they pulled a 693 EQ here in TN) for 10k. The JD mgr here called in to get it raised and they bumped it to 30k with my financial statement. (Have to prove that ability to pay, go figure!)

I wanted more but they said that was probably the highest they've given any homeowners, so that made me feel better. :)

The only comment the lady at JD made was that my credit history was relatively short (5 ish years) for my "high" score. (Like, I wish it was 893! :) I just said that we always used cash because we thought we weren't supposed to use credit, but then we found out otherwise. She liked that answer I think.

The catch is that you need a licensed landscape contractor to do the work, and they have to be signed up with them. (Works for me, I don't have the time or talent to do the yard the way I want.)
I suppose you could use it to buy any John Deere equipment too.

I just want to say that if you are reading this and you are struggling with bad credit, that's where I came as recently as two years ago. My credit had significantly improved when I stumbled on this site and wish I'd found it sooner. Your credit can improve, I promise! (obviously my credit history isn't older because the bad stuff is GONE!) I have come up over 200 pts in 2 years. And now bumpage is making me a happy camper. (consumer info)

    Good luck!
