If my score is in the 500's and my hubby's is in the 700+ range and I want to get a joint account, like a credit card to help me, would they decline us based on my credit? Would it be best to list him as primary and me secondary or vice versa? I just need some help re-establishing while I'm waiting to clear up some of this other mess. I sent out 11 validation letters today, 3 being estoppels and Providian is working with me. If I could get rid of these medical collections I would be left with 2 Cap Ones charged off (hoping to cut a deal with them with my income tax) a CCB charge off (that I will die BEFORE paying) and an Orchard Bank charge off. I know that's ALOT still, but it's better than what I have now. Thanks

Yes, most credit card companies will grant a card to your hubby with you as a co-signer if he has excellent credit. It will be listed as a joint account and will help you build your credit.
