I posted below about a judgment I just found out about and have the following questions. I am in TX. - There are 2 judgments from 2 amexp cards that appeared on my credit report both dated 8/2 from American Express Ft. Lauderdale - There is no further info about court case #, etc. I checked with my county court and nothing has been filed there - I was never served - in TX it must be in person or by registered mail rrr. There is someone home at almost all times and I know there was no attempt to serve. I do not ignore mail. I had not heard from amexp about these 2 debts in over 6 months. If I was never served, it appears they got these by default. How can I get case #s? I am wondering if they have even filed the case in TX. Is Amexp known to do this? What should I do next?
