My wife has an unpaid judgement on her credit report for some old medical bills. I was just wondering once they obtain a judgement against you, are the collection accounts linked to the judgement supposed to be removed from your credit report or are they suppose to remain? Thanks.

If they stay they better show a -0- balance.

So even if the judgement is unpaid the collection accounts tied to the judgement should have a zero balance? I need to know because the accounts still show the original balance owed. Thanks again.

    It's a rocky road.

Think of it this way. You no longer owe the CA (unless they are the one's with the judgment). In fact, that debt doesn't exist anymore as it has been reduced to judgment - a brand new debt.
