A friend just called and said, after reading his report, that he has a judgement on his CR and he tried to call the company to find out what it was about. He has found out that the company is out of business. If the CRA's verify thru the courthouse how would he satisfy the debt or dispute it? Charlie

I am still a newbie so don't put all your faith in this but....

If the company is out of business, he could try to vacate the judgement. If no lawyer from the company shows, it should be a vacated judgement by default...

Again, I'm sure I'll stand corrected soon, there are too many pros out there to allow semi-right info to be passed around...:)

Prissypoo is correct if you put in a motion to vacate and there is no answer then it should be. It wouldn't hurt:)

That's what I was thinking, but I wanted a sounding board to bounce it off of. Thanks Charlie
