I found a paid judgement on my credit report. How does on go about getting this removed from a report? Can the person who took me to court give permission to the court to remove the judgement? After all, there paid.

    What State are you in?
The judgment (which should be shown as paid) will stay on your report for 7 years from filing date, OR until lapse date in your State,if it is less than 7 years.(except for N.Y. where paid accounts come off in 5 years)

I would suggest you continue to dispute the item. If you havbe dispute it many different ways. e.g. not mine. date wrong, amount wrong. Eventually they will ge tired of verifying as it is paid anyway. This only seems to workif it is a paid judgemnet. Good luck it worked for me.

Both N.J. and Wisconsin keep a judgment on the books for 20 years.

I am in wisc to a judgement that you have not paid the money oewd on. it is unsatisfied. the courts said you owe it but you have not paid it. that is a unpaid judgement.

A judgement may be kept on 'TheBooks" for twenty years but it will only be reported on the credit bureau for seven paid or not. That is how it is in wisocnsin.

you can still dispute. I have removed several unpaid judgements from my reports through simple disputes.
