    Hello everyone,
In the nearly 2 months I have been here I have managed to get 2 negatives removed from each report and several more are being disputed. The only failure so far has been Credit Protection Associates for a BlockBuster account. I am planning to pay them in full in return for deletion since the amount involved amount is about 75 bucks -- though I have never been to a BlockBuster in my whole damn life :( Thanks everyone...I have just begun and have great optimism now that I have found this board.

Anyways, one of the judgements on my credit report was served when I was abroad...in fact I have never been served and never received a mail from them. Is this information something I can use?? How does one go about deleting judgements?? can anyone experienced in judgements please reply..I would be so grateful.

    Thanks again, and God Bless.

No personal experience but I would suggest searching on vacating judgments...thats what you are wanting to try to do.

IF you have NEVER been there...DON'T PAY IT!!!

They have you confused with another person with the same name.

Sometimes a CA will "HIT" everybody with the same name in a given city...

MAKE THEM PROVE YOU WERE AT THE RENTAL STORE, AND YOU RENTED A MOVIE...
Before I got DIRECTV I rented movies...but I had a CREDIT CARD ON FILE that they would have charged...IF I WAS LATE, OR DIDN'T RETURN THE MOVIE (never was late, never forgot to return it).

Get the copy of the case file from the courthouse where the judgment was filed.

Once you have that, you can find all the mistakes they have made and maybe get the judgment vacated.

    I wouldn't pay a dime if it's not yours.

I guess Butch should chip in on this.

I guess I wasnt clear at all -- I was speaking about 2 seperate items on my credit report. The item that isnt mine is the BlockBuster account.

The judgement is a legit debt from an apartment lease which I did break and run away aborad for a few months. However, when I was abroad I giess they obtained this judgement --March 1999. I came back in April 1999 and havent checked my credit report till a month ago. Please suggest methods to somehow remove it...it stands out as an ugly sore on my credit report :(

    (Giggle)

Thanx for the plug PawMix, but I don't know much about Judgements.

But I do know where he needs to start. Go down to the courthouse and get certified copies of EVERYTHING. Therein you'll find numerous mistakes, as is [almost] always the case. Those mistakes will get you a vacated judgement.

It might be applicable in his state that he must be served personally. Tough to do when your outta the country.

What has been done regarding a demand for validation on the BlockBuster case?

    ???

    Thanks Butch

Thanks, Butch. Now to find someone who lives in Austin to go the courthouse and pick up certified copies of the judgement.

I have sent a request for validation for BlockBuster and havent heard back yet. Its been 2 weeks, so plenty of time left.

Can the denizens of this board enlighten me on another doubt of mine -- For credit card debts, do I contact the OC or the CA?? Because several of my credit cards have dual entires, I am alittle confused.

    Thanks all.
