I have a satisfied judgement that I would like to have removed. How do they verify it? I have read here that they check Name, SS #, and address. If two of the three match, you are stuck with it. Are they able to verify based on employment or former address? I am trying to remove most of the info before disputing. tix
If the address on the case is any of your addresses on the credit report (current or former), it will be verified.
I should clarify. Judgement was served on address "A" Address "A" is not in the credit file. Included in the file is my SS#, employer, and my former address. All of this information is in the credit file. My question is. Do the people who verify judgement go through the file, or just the first page? tix
Don't sweat it.. they may not verify it all.... just try a simple cra dispute . over half my judgments were deleted this way!
The advice about disputing it is good, very often courthouses don't keep the best of records, at least mine don't.
Judgements don't have your ssn on them. I got all mine deleted from EQ and Tu no problem, EXP still verifies it as unpaid, when it's been paid since 1997. I hate EXP!
The judgement does not have the SS #. Inside the court file it does. My next step is to have my attorney seal that part of the file. tix
