Can I sue a debt collector after the judgement is paid? Even though I was ordered by the judge to pay the debt, which I knew I had to pay, i just believed the collector was fraudulent in the way he was pursuing the debt and getting the judgement in the first place. When I went to court, the judge stated "the judgement was vacated, wage execution postponed and the stipulation of aggrement is enforceable within 30 days". I believed what he said... the collectr filed the paperwork with the courts and it said "judgement granted, 15 days to pay". and the judge signed it!!!!! What can I do after the fact?

I would start by ordering a transcript of the hearing. All courts should have at least a tape recording of the hearing. Then I would file a motion to vacate with the judge who heard the case.
