I know the SOL for open accounts is for the State I currently live in. What about Judgments? Since they are appointed by the Court of that State. Former State where jd accrued 10 years (re-newable at 10) 10.5% Current State- 10 not renewable 6% I'm guessing it goes by the State the judgment was in, but any advice would be nice.
Yes it will go by the state it was filed in; unless they move the judgment to your state. Can't remember what the technical phrase for that is, but it would be on file with your local court house if they had done this. Ok, sry posted 2 links here that have information on SOL per state on the judgments. http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=355879#post355879
