Is it possible to negotiate a payment by deletion with a court judgment or would I just be wasting my time??
All you can do is try but when talking about a judgment it is a matter of public record and the attorney probably has nothing to do with reporting in the first place. Most attorneys don't file credit reports. The listing is probably coming direct from record searches by the CRAs or is being submitted by the court clerk's office. In order to get a sure kill on the listing you would have to either file motion to vacate or have the attorney do it for you or have the record sealed. It has to disappear somehow before you can count on getting it removed. Mind you that I'm not saying you can't get it removed by disputing with the credit bureaus because it has been done many, many times.
