I received an offer from Juniper Bank today and they offered me Visa Platinum Card. The terms are:

9.9 Fixed APR on Transfers for life
    up to $500 cash back
    14.99 for Purchases
    15.24 for Cash advance
Transaction Charge for Cash advance:3% of the amount.
    BT and Convenience Checks Charge:0

I got denied 2 times previously because I don't have enough credit history. First time they pull credit from Equifax and second time they denied me without pulling credit. Should I apply for one or should I wait? The offers expire March 29,2002.
So far I received 2 offers from them (1 MC/1 Visa).
Any sugguestion? just waste another inquiry.

When was the last time you applied? If it has been at least six months for a year I would try again. If not I would wait until your current accounts age some more.

    Dani,

Last tme I applied on Nov 26.last year. My brother applied for Juniper MC from the pre-select offer and he got approved. He didn't have enough credit history to qualify for one and he got approved for $6000.

I was denied two times~~~EXCESSIVE CREDIT LIMITS (not a valid F.I.C.O. reason code)...

Won't give them a third chance!!!

They have different deals...the lower the "INTRO", the higher the "GO-TO" rate.

    I saw a 2.99% with a "GO-TO" 9.99%...PURCHASES AND BT...

If you take the 0.00% intro...they usually get you later with a rate 12-14%

    George,

It is so tempting. I remember they give Bailey for $500 credit limit TOY CARD. Right now I'm looking for a new card and I need auto loan. I don't know to waste another inquiry. My brother got same offers and he got approved for $6000. There is no intro rate for me and 14.99% var for purchase,9.9% fixed APR BT for life plus 2% cash back up to $500. It is a good deal like my brother's Juniper MC. The offers will be expire in March and they give me the link to apply on-line. I'm struggling.

Yes I am still in shock over the 500 lousy limit, they pulled Equifax of course and my score was 677.

    bailey,

I only have 5 inquiries for last six months and I think we got different offers. I don't know what score I have with Equifax. That's the link they wanted me to apply at: http://www.Juniper.com/8242
The deal is good and BT plus 2% cash back.
Do I have any chance to get the card???
    Thanks for your reply.

My offer was 7.9 for life of the BT, same rate for purchases as you.

Well I definetly had way more inquires LOL. And considering what other offers and cards you have gotten, I can say that I know you will be approved and have a pretty good feeling you will get a nice limit, and not get what I was offered. Also my ratios were around 50%. b/c a few banks haven't updated grrr citi etc.

So I "think" I would go for it:)

    Good Luck.

By the way they offer instant approval through that link:)

    bailey,

I don't care about the BT rate that much and I like 2% cash back. It seems like a good deal. I think I told you before they hardly denied anyone through this offer. When did you apply before last time? Dani told me I should wait. My brother didn't have 54 months of account history on his oldest account and he got approved instantly for $6000 through on-line. Thanks for your reply.

Was the only reason you were denied previously because of length of established accounts or was there more? Currently do you know your Equifax score? I would probably contact them first before I applied on line and tell them you applied two months prior and would their advice be to wait a couple more months or apply again? I am just concerned since you said you would be going for a new car soon and didn't want to jeopardize your score with another inquiry. If you do decide to apply, may the credit card gods be with you. :)

I applied for Juniper in September I believe. They denied me for inquires and balances ratios, that is why I was surprised that they sent me an offer, my inquiries have gone up and my ratios went up a little, so I was thrilled with the approval, but completely disappointed with the creditline, so I told them to forget it.

    Dani,

Thanks for your reply. I'm still thinking whether I'm going to apply or not because my brother got the card even the oldest tradeline is less than 54 months of history. I'm going to apply for carloan soon and I don't want to jeopardize my score like you said. Last time they denied my application last month without any inquiry from my Equifax. That's why to hold me back for applying the card.

I called the application line and they didn't know anything about the approval of the application. All they took the name and info into system and wait about 3 weeks for answer. Of course I didn't let them to take my name and I haven't decide whether I'm going to apply for not. Thanks to Dani,George and Bailey's reply.
