I have read a couple posts here about Juniper application and the vague processing message when it doesn't give you instant approval. How many people have applied, got the message and ended up with a card 10 days later? I figured I'd have to verify address info for them since I moved within the last couple months. I know my address info isn't showing up yet on the credit files (at least when I pull my report it doesn't show it updated). Do they always verify info if you get this message or do you either get a card or denial letter? Assuming that their denial letters will come to you faster than the card I am not sure what to think. it's been a week or so, and nothing. Have 725 fico with no lates and 20 years of cc history. I fugured they'd have called asking for a utility bill or something because of the new address. Im sure a few of you have been in this situation. Is there a norm for this or just a crap shoot? I have since avoided applying online for credit since most applications dont ask for a previous address. Oddly enough I called on the phone to apply for the GM card, and the rep didnt ask for previous address. just said it would take 10+ days to process a decision. Any GM phone app experience from anyone? thanks!
GM card is issued by Household which is now about to be owned by HSBC bank. In my case I knew that they only checked EQ in NY state. So I did the dispute thing which raised my score with EQ to 780. I got an email within a few days that I was approved and the card arrived a week later.
Juniper Bank denied me because I don't have 48 months of credit history. Later, I got pre-approval offer from them and they approved me only $500. GM Card give me instant approval and they approved me for $1500. They both pulled credit from Equifax where I live in Texas. Ron.
I just figured I got hung up on the new address thing, but thus far no one has called asking to verify it. So I figure all will go ok or I will simply get a denial for not having the right address or one inquirey too many or whatever. We shall see
Last year I got denied in less than a week. So if you don't get a denial letter within a solid week it may be for the best and your approved. Just speculation mind you.
