For those of you with Juniper Accounts, which bureaus did they pull and what region of the country do you live in? The list on the resources of this site say Equifax. Also, did you receive approval thru an offer or just go online and apply? What scores are likely to do it? I'm looking good at 705 right now but there is one account under dispute that doesn't appear to be factored into FICO right now. Did you get instant approval or did you have to wait? Have you been able to negotiate better APR's once the teaser rate expired? Thanks in advance for any info! Mist
Never applied, however EVERYONE has said EQuifax, I have never ever heard anyone mention any other agency.
Pulled TU on me, I live in Tennessee. I went straight to thier website and applied, I did some research and wanted a card with on-line access that had a teaser rate. I come out of the 0% interest in Sept., so I have not tried to negotiate the rate yet. I was instantly approved, I probably had somewhere around the same score you do, if not a little lower. I have been THRILLED with thier customer serivce, and thier payment on-line posts the same day in most cases...a real plus!! Good luck!! Shanna
Thanks Shanna for the info. They do have some glowing reports on creditratings.com about their customer service.
I applied yesterday and was given the, "We need more time...." line. I called and asked if that meant it was denied. They guy on the phone said no, but we'll see. I hope they pulled Equifax since that's my best report but there's only one tradeline on it that's a retail store card but it's been open/never late since 1985. I have a Cap 1 and Target but they're not on any report yet. The terms and conditions says the minimum income for a juniper card is $15,000 a year. That sounded like it would be relatively easy to get the regular (not platinum) card. We'll see. If they deny, I'm going to call and beg.
im pretty sure you need like a 700 equifax score to get the juniper card these days.. a friend of mine applied with 685 and it was not sufficient..
I was denied at first but called and asked that they take a second look (I had a FICO of over 700) and then was approved. Apparently their system pulled the info in wrong from Equifax. They may have some kind of glitch. They pulled it again and a real live person looked at it and they called me back at home to tell me it was approved, apologized for the glitch, and gave me a generous credit line.
