Juniper just raised my interest rate from 13.74% to prime PLUS 13.24% - $17.99!!!!!

    EQ 731
    EX 708
    TU 758

No reason given. They told me it was an 'across the board' decision. I was told it had nothing to do with me or my credit history. I had almost always paid in full since the promo ran out but carried a small balance from last month to this. I asked if it would be instituted for ALL of their customers and was told "I'm not at liberty to disclose that information".

    What jerks!!

I'd close the account but since I don't currently have a balance (and never will again) I might as well keep it open for the positive effect of the high CL on my ratios.

Use it for "PAY-AT-THE-PUMP"~~~$2.00 of gas...when the bill comes pay $2.02...

GIVE THEM YOUR $0.02 WORTH!!! THEY WILL HAVE TO SEND A BILL FOR A $0.02 CREDIT FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS...THEN USE IT AGAIN FOR LIKE $5.00!!!

WARNING~~~I gave DISCOVERCARD my $0.02 WORTH~~~they ASSUMED I didn't want it and THEY kept it!!!!

Unlike PROVIDIAN...wouldn't MOST of the customers be PRIME so they could just PAY IT OFF IN FULL AND DUMP THEM???

Forcing them to BACK-TRACK on the interest rate "JACK-UP"???

Or forcing them to QUIT ALTOGETHER...and sell out????

I think it is hysterical when prime credit card companies jack the interest rate up on customers. Do they think that the customer cannot go elsewhere? Is any prime customer going to pay 16% or 17% a year? I don't think so.

Juniper didn't raise my rate and it still keep at the rate of 14.99%. I just found out that Juniper pulled soft inquiry on my TransUnion. They did it to my brother too for account review.
