Why not do it yourself? You have nothing to lose but a book of stamps.

    RE: JUNUM, No LEXINGTOn

Junum. No, Lexington. No Junum. No Lexington. Wait a minute. I think Lexington is better. But Junum is cheaper. But Junum is newer. And Lexington is better. No wait, Junum is better. No Lexington is better.

    What was the question again???

Lexington has a better name. Who ever heard of a "Junum?"

Lexington may have a nicer sounding name but they don't actually do the work. All of the advertising is done under Lexington but the sister company, Johnson & Associates, is issued the actual credit repair work. To me, this didn't seem quite right. When I retained the service, I thought I was getting Lexington. I had never heard of Johnson & Associates until I received my first Email. My trust was shaken and, throughout the time my service continued, things didn't improve much.

From reading this board, I understand that Lexington has committed to improving their service. I'm glad to hear that and I hope the company's efforts are successful.

Actually, to be fair Jason, you cannot really compare the two that way. Lexington is credit repair attorneys. junum is credit management, debt services, expert live advice and loan matching. The two could not be further apart in that sense. The only thing they have in common is disputing credit reports which is only one facet of junum. You don't have to be a lawyer to argue the FCRA and consumers don't have to use anybody. Self help is pretty good. I think most people join junum for over total financial control.

I was just being flippant. Junum is a wonderful name.

    (What does it mean?)

    For Kristi

Can Lexington just dispute the CRA of my choice or is it a set service? I would only want to dispute Equifax and Experian.

    Thanks for your response

Ahhh.. but Junum is not all it claims. They induced my wife to join by claiming they post credit scores, or a "Junum only" model of your credit score. Once joined, they tell you, in the score section, that your score is really not important, and that their private system MAY be available this year. Also, they claim to be able to show what loans you qualify for, online, BASED ON YOUR CREDIT SCORE. Ahh... but without a score, no qualifications can take place. Nice website, but I don't think they are ready to do all they claim to do.

They can do that. The best way, I suggest would be to simply refrain from sending them your Trans Union. All reports have to come through you and they can't dispute a report they don't have (Plus, you should let them know.)

Yes, I consult for them (in addition to others.)

    RE: For Kristi

For the prices that Junum has, I'm glad I chose Junum as opposed to Lexington. It worked best for me because they have gotten the cb's to delete alot of derog info on my credit. In total, they have removed $8,547 since I joined on Oct. 25, 2000.
