I cancelled them a while back and they just drafted out $276.85 of my account, causing almost the same amount in NSF fees, plus no money to buy food or pay other bills...what can I do? I need their number.

I was never a Junum customer, so I don't know why I have this info, but perhaps this will help regardless. First, send an email describing your problem to: support@junum.com After you've sent email (which can't hurt), then call and write them directly. Here's their corporate info: Junum 1590 Corporate Dr. Costa Mesa, CA 92626 Phone: 714-979-5063 Then, for the sake of karma, meditate on this picture of their corporate office: http://www.junuminc.com/images/junum-exterior.jpg (I was kidding regarding meditation.) Then, if you want to see something REALLY startling, please notice that the NASDAQ often delists companies that can't maintain a stock share price of at least one dollar. Click here to see that Junum's stock price is hovering at about ONE NICKEL per share (oh my gosh): http://quotes.nasdaq.com/quote.dll?page=&mode=stock&symbol=junm&multi.x=10&multi.y=17 THEN, if you REALLY REALLY want to see something startling, take a look at the latest report they filed with the Security & Exchange Commission: http://www.freeedgar.com/search/Vie...EMSource=&FormType=10-Q&CompanyName=JUNUM+INC Here's an excerpt: "Net loss for the three-month period ended March 31, 2001 was (-$2,844,068) as compared to a net loss of (-$959,119) during the three-month period ended March 31, 2000... Current cash and cash equivalents and cash that may be generated from operations will not be sufficient to meet our anticipated cash needs for the next 12 months. Accordingly, we are dependant on raising additional financing in order to continue operations." I really don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good. I would try to get your refund soon just in case they aren't able (to quote their statement) "to continue operations." I think they are required to file another SEC statement today. I look forward to seeing a rosier picture! Hope something here helps. Doc
Psycho Doc--you GOD you!!! Thank you so much. I just printed those articles. My bank is going after them as am I. I just Fax'd information to my bank and they are filing an EFT. The guy at the bank is SO nice and is actually excited in going after them. I cancelled in January of this year and all of a sudden they take out around $300.00 from my account!!! Nothing from January until now. I hope I can get all my money back! Can't get through on the phone to Junum and they won't answer my email, at least as of yet. I decided not to wait and filed the fraud charges anyway.
Re: Psycho Doc--you GOD you!!! Has anyone had any experience with cancelling Jack Schrold? I cancelled them this month and I know they'll withdrawl 49.95 next month to pay for this months work. Anyone have them deduct more than they should have??
GEMINI READ THIS.... Gemini, Same thing happened to me a while back to the tune of almost $600... read my story...it may help you. There is hope! http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...p?s=&postid=146540&highlight=junum#post146540 As always...
Re: GEMINI READ THIS.... This is very interesting. It seems as though companies that have your checking account info have been *accidently*drafting funds lately. I have 2 friends that have had similar problems over the week. I'll say it once and I'll say it again. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT INFO OUT....PERIOD! I would even take it a step further and say not to even use your Check card that is linked to your account but I realize that, that's all that some have. I have gotten bamboozled like this in the past and I'll never give my info out again. It's too hard to get the money back. You gotta sign all sorts of documents and then wait. Meanwhile, you are a** out of the money and that's not right! Anytime I have to have funds autodeducted from an account, I always have one credit card dedicated for this. I only use my checks to pay a few bills that I can't pay electronically through bill pay at my bank. I could pay all of my bills through them but there are like 3 accounts where they would just cut a check on my behalf and I don't like that. It takes too long...I just assume write the check and mail it myself. I have a Visa Check card that I use every once in a great while to pay my auto insurance or something. I don't even carry it in my wallet (sits in the sock drawer). I have a regular atm card (not check card) that I use if I need cash. I just got tired of companies playing games with my money and decided that I needed to protect myself. Junum did the same thing to me and deducted about $100? off of my AMEX card. I called AMEX, told them what was up, and the charges literally disappeared from my account in a matter of SECONDS (I got off the phone, logged on to my account and the charges were GONE!). I don't play games anymore.
