Hello all. Contrary to many of the posts I have seen on here, I signed up with Junum today. Before you get upset with me, here are my reasons. I am in the Air Force and stationed overseas so I can't use a CRRR letter unfortunately. I am overseas for 18 more months and then my wife and I are going to buy a house when we get back to the states. So as you can see, time is of the essence. My FICO scores are in the low 600's. I have 1 Charge off (over 6 years old) 2 collections (one is JJ Macintyre and the last activity was Jan of 1998) (the other is from Security Check with last activity June 1999; this one was for a check to Papa Johns which I truly didnt even know bounced and I never received a letter.) I have a repo which is over 6 years old and some lates. Does anyone know how long it will take Junum to clear some of this up? How long should I hang on to them? If I get rid of the Charge off and Repo does anyone know how many points I may go up? Thanks in advance. Dave
Well I registered with them a little over 12 hours ago and shortly thereafter I sent them an email with a few questions concerning what I read on this board. I woke up this morning (I am in Australia so I am 13 hours ahead of CST) and I already had an email back from Junum. It was from one of their directors and she was totally honest and said that there was a time last spring when positives were being deleted but that bug has been worked out. I also asked about the individual being charged without them being notified and she said that since I have the all inclusive plan, I will have no unforseen charges. She was very nice and seemed to really appreciate my concerns. I also love their layout on the webpage. One feature that I love is whenever you cross a certain credit plateau, they send you offers on your account that you pre-qualify for. That is awesome. Well, I will keep you in touch when I find out more. Later.
Best of luck with Junum. As for me the process was scary. You only get one chance when it comes to trust. Best regards, Mirage
There's no excuse available for what they did to LKH. It defeated the whole point of their service. I don't even know how Junum could even fix it. 1. They sent a dispute after the contract had expired. (poor accounting) 2. They sent a dispute on stuff that had already been deleted. (poor record keeping) 3. Their dispute generated a letter from the CRA's *attorney* - no less - who wants to get to the bottom of this and possibly nail LKH/Junum or both. So Junum has possibly put LKH at risk for having the negatives put back on and the file flagged as "frivolous", if not legal risk for lying to a CRA if they said "not mine" and it was. I would sue the pants off of Junum if I were LKH.
