I cancelled Junum Mid July, just after a round of "disputes" were sent out. Yesterday I received an Updated Report from Experian - covering the "disputes" issued on that date. I first found interesting that Junum disputed the reporting of my Mervyns account on Experian - Experian has never reported my Mervyns account - of course they indicated account not found. In regard to two other disputed items - they indicated new information below as you requested. Two collection accounts, that Junum previously disputed and came back verified - had the following new information: Consumer statement: Consumer disputes this account as is allowed under the Fair Credit Billing Act. I was not aware that Junum added "consumer statements" and am personally of the belief that these statements are worthless for the most part. I called Experian to inquire on the items disputed on the date Junum last issued a dispute - per Experian Rep: Mervyns account - payment history disputed - not listed on our report; Your two consumer statements were entered as requested. I may have misunderstood what Junum is supposed to do - I believed that they would use their methods to have negative items removed - not to enter consumer statements on my report. This is just more support for my decision to cancel - wasting a dispute cycle disputing an account that was never on the report and entering consumer statements I did not want to appear on the report.
I would have waited a bit longer before dropping the service. It has been worth it to me. I do have some of the same notations regarding "disputed" account on my credit report though.
