Just a note of joy - Equifax caved!

After writing the same disputes for over a year, and disputing items online over and over and over again, I went ahead and disputed 5 out of 6 negatives through the online form...... Not a real bright idea, but hey, what the hell? They let you do it.... and it takes minimal effort to check off the "not my account" box....

All 5 negatives were deleted....(this makes for a total over over 13 deletions on Equifax alone) Somebody must have tired of getting my letters... Lol, 2 judgments, 2 chargeoffs, and one collection! All gone... For now, anyway...... Think somebody forgot to write to the creditors? It doesn't matter... I went ahead and disputed the last negative trade line....

Thought I would give somebody some hope today...

    Congrats!

I had the same thing happen to me. I disputed a tredeline via snail mail at least half a dozen times with EQ, but they refused to budge. Then I tried the online approach and *poof* it was gone.

I'm wondering... perhaps they have some sort of an automated investigation process when an item is disputed online?

It's possible that it's automated because I did it and then called to cancel my investigation a few minutes later and they said there is no way to stop it because it was already gone.

    HUGE Congrats Melissa.

    What's a "Starving Writer".

If it has anything to do with "ghost writing" a book with me, we may need to talk.

    :)

Well, Butch, at the risk of exposing my anonymity, here's the link to my website (I actually only put it on the web a week ago, hence the lack of domain name...)

If you would like to discuss anything, my email is on the page...
