Their customer service has gotten RIDCULOUS! I called today to close my cash back card and have the CL transferred to my new delta skymiles gold, took 4 CSRs 2 retentionn agents, and a 1 hour phone call. How hard is it, close cashback, add 3,000 CL to delta. One retention agent said that I DON"T HAVE A SKYMILES CARD, I read the account number and said well what is that. She was trying to then transfer my cahsback into a Hilton Honors, I said just cancel it and add the CL to delta, she said well why are you cancelling sir? I said FORGET IT! ALso, you may remeber a while back when I got screwed on ebay and dipsuted it (or so I thought) with amex. I spent 45 minutes with 2 csrs telling them my story and they said okayt we are filing it. Found out from the 3rd CSR from which I called to verify with that disputes cannot be filed until after billing statement closes. So I wasted 45 minutes with CSRS telling me they will take care of it when it was never even being filed. And then when I waited for the billing cycle to close, thinking amex wouls still take care of it, they said I sam sorry since it is through paypal we cannot handle this for, TOUGHLUCK! When calling AMEX CSRS I have to ALWAYS call back 3 or 4 times minimally to verify the answers I get with that many other CSRS because I never know if they are telling the truth! Also, when applying for my skymiles card the man I talked to had such and INDIAN accent I could not understand one thing he said. I have had it, ya know what I think I am oging to call and cancel them right now! Sorry about all the yelling I am just pis*** and I need to vent, and this is always the place that makles me feel better. Am I being ridiculous, or is their customer service just going way downhill? I always thought of amex as prestigious and with great customer service, BUT I think I am over it.
