My Shell credit card (formerly issued by Associates, now Citibank NA) is a year old this month. Normal Shell credit cards carry no annual fee, but the one I got last year at this time when I was just starting my credit repair was their subprime card that carries a $25 annual fee. I got the bill for the fee today and called to see if I could get the fee waived. They wouldn't do it, so I closed the account. I just sent Citibank NA a letter through planetfeedback asking that the account be reopened with no annual fee. I mentioned that my two Citibank Platinum mastercard accounts carry no fee, so why should I pay one for a crummy $325 limit gas card. I'm not holding my breath that they will respond and reopen it, but I really don't care anymore. Last year at this time my credit was hopeless and I took any credit anyone would offer to me.
