since we have lots of newer members i thought we could take a minute and introduce ourselves. I joined sometime in 2003 under the name of Jenz. I am a personal banker for a semi-large bank(not national) financial services company. I live in Minnesota. Married with two kids. feel free to add anything about yourself you want!
I started here in Jan 04 - then left for a little while because this credit stuff was stressing me out! I'm slowing climbing out of the debt-pit and only have 1 baddie left that is showing up on EQ and TU. In the past year I've become an avid budgeter (is that a word?) and penny-pincher. I have an 8 year old who recently noticed that I carry "that money book" everywhere I go (thanks Hedwig, I broke down and bought "the truth about money" and now i'm going to send my resume to Ric's office for a job LOL).
Hello,I started here in March of 2000.I built up my credit, got higher limits and lower APR's with information learned here. Then due to circumstances beyond my control I had to default on all accounts to the tune of $24,740+,before added fees such as late payments, overlimit etc.I hope to rebuild my credit to precharge off levels.I have had to live on cash only for some time now.I have ignored the credit reports, creditors etc.but am now ready to face it and start the rebuilding process over. I suspect I am not alone in building/rebuilding credit only to have unforseen setbacks to cause one to start over again.
is it just me or is it more depressing the second time around?!?! maybe because of all the hard work we put in previously....
