...if members of the "dark side" have their own gathering place: http://www.collectionindustry.com/forum/index.cfm Actually not a bad resource, one could probably even join up and pose one's scenario from a CA point of view, to gather "intel" on possible ways to play your cards...
Excellent Site....Great Insight.....Here is one of the many interesting posts i was reading that discusses how credit companies can't retain records. ------We have recently been told that media is no longer available for Wells Fargo accounts. Has anyone else been told this? We were told a while ago that Bank First media is no longer available. Does anyone have any connections? I think there should be a huge movement to force debt selling entities to reimburse buyers if they cannot produce docs. Are they that inept that they can't seem to hold onto the very documents that proves there is a debt owed to them, or has it just become a pain in the butt for them to produce the documents so they become lazy. Both lenders have become less valuable. I encourage all debt buyers to take that into consideration when you're reviewing portfolios. If you can't tell, I'm kind of bitter about it. I've had yet another debtor get out of paying just because the original lenders are idiots...
It will be interesting to see how OCs weigh their obligations and liabilities under Federal law for properly destroying personal identifying information with their record retention policies in the case of charged-off debts and closed accounts.
LOL....just checked there, they are whining that more and more "consumers" are posting on their board. Guess they feel threatened that someone might find out that there are real people behind these credit reports, and not just some "deadbeat" who is trying to avoid paying their bills.
