I pulled my TU report, citbank pulled an inquiry today, so I call them to ask them, "Mrs KHM it's because of your recent balance transfer and we have not received a payment yet." I said well I DONT HAVE A PAYMENT DUE YET!!! She said "hmmm let me look into it" She comes back and gives me some garbage about the amount of my transfer compared to my limit (I transferred $1300 my limit is 8500) I said what about it. More garbage about checking to see if I am delinquent on any OTHER accounts, WTF I"VE ONLY HAD THE CARD SINCE 1/15!!!! Well sure enough they have SUSPENDED my charging ability because of COLLECTECH!!!!!!! I am so friggin peeved right now!! The citibank lady was really nice, but *%^ @(!)@(#* $(@#)@*&$^ COLLECTECH, wait til they get a load of me. I now have to write to Citi to "plead my case"........UUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!
Ed that is EXACTLY what I keep telling myself. I'm gonna call Citibank back in a little bit, to make sure they are sending it to me in writing with the reasons why.
Did Collecttech just appear on your report recently (after CITI approval)? How much is owed? Or does that not matter?
Collectech sent 1st letter 12/4 I sent Validation 12/18, they tried to collect via mail 12/18 and 12/25, I sent estoppel 12/23, they started reporting 1/26 to EXP, today to TU and not sure about EQU. I opened Citibank 12/26/01 got card 1/15/02. Citi pulled my report today, they couldnt do it yesterday when this wasn't on there. I haven't called back yet, Im too afraid I will lose my sh!t with the poor CS rep.
Its for $336 but I think it should only be $150ish, they haven't sent one shred of evidence, unless you consider a million pages of the TOS?!?!
This whole thing of credit reporting and credit scoring is nothing more than one big snow job on the American Public.
Ok I just noticed QUITE A FEW errors in my post. They tried to collect 1/18 and 1/25 (not December) and I sent the estoppel 1/23. Now my update regarding Citi... I have NOT received a letter, yet, however I did try to use my card this morning when I got to work, and it worked. So now I am completely confused. So I'm putting my rotten Providian card BACK in my wallet, in case Citi doesn't work somewhere else.
