    No trent,

They'd be dumb to sue you while not meeting the bonding requirements of TX.

My post was in response to your use of the cease and desist letter (Budd Hibbs letter) that you sent prior to discovering that they weren't bonded.

    Nodding with Nana.

HAH! He was so wrong with me..I lost total faith in his one answer...I figure someone dishing out credit advice should know about soft/hard inquiries and things like credit expert, etc.. Boy, do I understand!

Just an extra word of caution..

Just a quick word of caution when checking databases online for licenses, etc...

If the Ca's name is "People Cheat America, Inc"..I usually just search "People" so I get all the companies that come even close in clase there are minor differences to ensure I get accurate info...

Yes, I was doing that and cross-checking with the BBB for DBA's and then searching for those as well. They're not listed under any name. Thank you so much NanaC, this is a tremendous help. NuB

Good Morning NanaC! I got what I wanted from Minnesota! The response is as follows:

No, I am not finding any collection agency that matches those names either. If you are having problems with a particular company that is involved in Third party collections please contact our Market Assurance division to file a complaint or simply to learn more. You may contact this division at 651-296-2488 or via - e-mail at market.assurance@state.mn.us

Let me know if you have further licensing questions.

    To Whom It May Concern:
I have just done a license search on your website. I could not find a license for Silly Credit Services, who also do business as Dumb & Dumber in Minnesota. They are a collection agency. Could you please verify for me that this is accurate?
I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing back from you soon!
    Sincerely,
    NervousNuB

So, thank you again NanaC! I'm enclosing a copy of this e-mail to Silly with my letter.....Estoppel/Please Delete. :) NuB

Isn't that just the best news??? I'm so happy..please do keep us updated! Also, I sugget you contact that dept. they gave you to "learn more" so you can be ready if they don't delete quickly. That way you are prepared to move to a formal complaint if they don't jump quickly!
