Get this. We are working with fla-tan on a mortgage situation(He seems to be one hell of a guy and I look forward to dealing with him). Anyways, I run the CR on Sat. after getting a few mediacl collections that have been paid removed. Last Sat. the last one comes off and the score goes from 636 to 710!!!! Man am I excited and I plan on sending fla-tan our info. for a mortgage on a GREAT house here in Columbus, OH. I check today, Sunday, and what do I find, A COLLECTION ACCOUNT for 69 measly dollars from Children's Hospital. I paid this bill in May of this year!!!!! The score goes from 710 to 621!!!!! Man was I pissed off but fla-tan brought me back to Earth. I know I'll get this removed but with our luck the house will be long gone. Anyways, I'll post after we roast those morons over at the billing department at Children's. Just wanting to get out some anger, thanks for listening.

    That really sucks.

    I hope everything works out.

Maybe with a little luck, the house will still be there.

Who knows, a much better house might be on the horizon :)

    Good luck..........

You can provide proof of payment. they will accept that. I would call whoever put that junk on your report and demand removal asap. use fax. also you can send the paid info from to the CRA. I know this is not law, but they can't report a debt that does not exsist.

I had the same situation with a bank. I left a bal 0f 300.00. I paid it 2 years later, 2 months later 2 CAs put it on my report as unpaid. I went to the OC and ripped them. They took care of it. I also threatened to sue both CAs.

My fiancee' just got off the phone with them. Man, that supervisor has got to be thinking "why did I come to work today". She ripped him something terrible, especially when he said, "it'll be off in ten to thirty days". They applied the payment to the wrong account. Well, because of this board, we know what they can do and she informed him of WHAT he was going to do. He put her on hold called the CA and they all spoke together. The person who can remove was in a meeting and they should have it handled by 11 am today. 10 to 30 days my a**. She was a fireball, all of you would have been proud. I think the supervisor acted quickly when she ask him for his full name and he asked why and she said b/c you are going to be named in the lawsuit to collect damages due to a high increase in interest rate on the mortgage I'm applying for today. He couldn't dial the numbers fast enough to the CA. Knowledge is power...and attitude helps get people off their a**es. Everyone, have a great day!:)

yep, amazing what a little lawsuit will get done. I have never had info deleted so quickly as when I asked for general manager and got his name. then told hom the samething. The FCRA states that incorrect info will be deleted asap, not 30 days. Told him he will be in court before the item is deleted. It was gone the next day.

good job guys, i am getting all teary eyed!

    Kozman,

Congrats. Your situation is very similar to mine. We are trying to close on a mortgage AND clean up a bunch of credit issues all at once. Time is not on our side and right now we're looking at either an FHA or a conventional depending on what happens with these. I'll be following your situation!

fla-tan, you are right, I never would get on her bad side. She's only 5'1 and 110, but even at 6'4 and 220, I'm not messing with her. Actually, she had to get on the CA after speaking with the hospital. Long story short, they said it would be deleted today. I can pull my EQ at 6 pm today. We will see. I pity anyone she has dealt with if that collection isn't deleted.

    Speaking of fla-tan.....he's the bomb!

I'm working with him also! For someone (me) who is really no trustful of those in the housing industry, for me to say, I trust him...he's truly made an impression!

Can't wait until the end of the month fla-tan! Here's to a great closing!

The clowns at the CA did what she demanded. Timeline

9AM-Contact OC and creates new passage way for food products in supervisor.

9:30AM- Same created for cretian at CA.

11:00AM-Supervisor at CA contacted. Due to her ability to be very co-operative, no new passage way is created for supervisor. Status pending on copmplete deletion.

6:30PM- EQ pulled, collection removed. Supervisor at CA can consider herself safe from the wrath that is known as my fiancee......Fla-tan, we'll be contacting you tonight. I'm sure there will be another battle just around the corner so this is no time to rest on this victory. Everyone's help has been greatly appreciated.
