I must be a glutton for punishment...here's what I just got from the Citibank "card selector" application (didn't even get to the card customization): "Thank you for applying. We will contact you at the address you provided as soon as your application is processed." If that doesn't sound like a denial I don't know what does...I guess the "Crapital 1 curse" continues (TL vanishes from TU after a failed CL dispute, so TU is now soiled semi-permanently for me). I'd assume that I'd better not waste my time with anything else that pulls TU either (at least now I know) so it looks like I'll have to try for either GM or Corvette once the inflated high balance falls off of EX (never hit EQ this month). Even though everyone says they usually pull EQ, those that said that HH/GM/Corvette hit EX makes it too risky for me to try before then.
Not from my experience...they gave me the "we'll contact you by US mail" excuse when they denied me awhile back. BTW, it was TU they pulled as I'd expected...excuse has to be either "average age too short" or "too many inquiries" (if not both), no other reason for a denial.
