when refinancing a mortgage.....what is the expected time from appraisal to closing?...Should one month be sufficient?
As long as nothing goes wrong, one month should be enough in theory. However, I would count on longer than that - maybe 45-60 days. I've worked on several different refis in the past year and not once have I been able to close within 30 days from when the appraisal was done. There was always some kind of holdup on the bank's end. Also, you have to really stay on top of the loan coordinators/underwriters these days...they take forever to do anything.
