Just wanted to say, this bank is pretty good for "online checking". In Metro atlanta, branches are here and there. But they did offer me both auto refi and personal line of credit, instantly when I asked. Both were 7.5%, so i said no to the auto refi, but thats a pretty good rate for a USED car, imo. Most of the CU and Big banks are more like 8.25-8.5% on a used REFI. The PLOC is variable % (7.5% currently), It can be tied to your master checking account, and you can move cash without a fee (ie overdraft, withdraw). They shipped my paperwork, mastercard-debit, in quick time, and the customer service via email is quick, and curteous. If you are in atlanta metro (north metro) the banks are hardly busy, even though i never go into one. Some nice features: 1. No charges for monthly fees, no min balance 2. Interest based on balance 3. No loan app fees (some banks will charge you) 4. The main branch in tucker is where all the actions, decisions take place. When I applied for my PLOC/REFI, it took about 5 minutes from (lemme pull your report), to approval. 5. Refund of foreign ATM fees up to $6/month Very much like a small CU. I'm dumping my netbank and Southtrust accounts and moving to this bank from the service i received. I think they deserve a good review, they are really nice folks!!
Hi Sam - Do they pull chexsystems? My husband and I have a joint account through Netbank, but I really would like to find something else. My husband has a chexsystems file from his previous marriage three years ago. Also, can you get a debit Visa or just a debit Mastercard?
Have you tried disputing(validating) the information on your ChexSystems report? Also, some CU's do not check ChexSystems.
Hi Javan - Not yet... but I will. Which leads me to my next question... but I will post it - don't want to hijack this thread. Thanks.
i had 10 bounced checks on my chex. I disputed them a month prior. Strangely, after that month of disputes on all 10, both southtrust and justrightbank approved me. I Didn't ask but when i when in the branch, they have a sign that says "chex" and "equifax" score is pulled. go figure.
