Okay, now that I paid my last 3 collections, I am having second thoughts on whether or not they will re-set the 7 years clock. I read the faq creditnet board and the fcra opinion thingy only states for "charge-off" accounts. What about a medical collection or stuff that isn't a charge-off but is a collection account?

Just curious and trying to get my ducks in a row just in case they DO re-set it.

Got too antsy...called CSC about the collections...they are who this info is showing up on. Anyways, rep says that payment of collections DOES NOT re-set the data...even if CA changes dola. My stuff will still drop when it is supposed to, even though I paid it!!! YIPPEEEE

I know that the 1 that won't drop till 2006 is medical and that many places take that into consideration, even if FICO doesn't. Oh well...at least I paid them.
