For those who may be considering a secured card, I would suggest applying for this card instead. It seems (and I say from experience) that the requirements are different than other Cap. 1 accounts. I think you can apply at bluelight.com, but I responded to a mail offer. The limit is totally low and ridiculous (at least on my card), but I didn't have to pay anything to secure it. Just thought I would share.
