My oldest account on Equifax is a auto loan paid in full and listed as IIB-13 and showing open from 1997. All other accounts are positive but opened within the last 6 months. Question should I leave it alone for the age or try to get it removed?
PEOPLE HERE HAVE SAID THEY LOST BIG TIME WHEN THEY LOST A "BADDIE" THE ACCOUNT WAS MORE GOOD THAN BAD... The HISTORY (LENGTH) gave bonus points... YMMV
Is this an option... "Hello, Mr. Auto-Loaner... Would your company be able to consider updating your trade line to remove the IIB status. Thanks in advance for your consideration."
Tried goodwill with the executive offices via letter she called me at home and her response was the are obligated to protect the credit reporting integrity to ensure that undesirable people do not get loans that default, that is when I ask her if I was one of the undesirables and she said "yes" at this point you are. BTW this is Ford. I thanked her for letting me know that I was undesirable and let her know that I would refinance the loan with Mazda (owned by ford) as soon as possible. I also ask if I was so undesirable then why did ford credit give me a loan just 6 months ago? she had no answer. So I guess the goodwill approach did not work for me.
Re: Re: keep it or dispute I agree, no integrity unless it is to there benefit. If they can make money or cause me to pay higher rates.
