Kim from GA question for you

    You stated that you went through Homebanc. I just called them and I will receive a phone call sometime this evening. Were they very helpful in helping you obtain a mortgage? Even with some past credit problems? I hope you see this post in time.

    Yes, my lender was extremely helpful. I started my whole process 11 mos. before I even closed on my home (long story).

    At any rate, the first time he pulled my credit, my score was 549. Told me that I had to get it to 580 to qualify for my loan. That was fine ~ I had a long time before closing.

    Told me everything I needed to do. Write letters, pay bills, write credit explanations, etc.

    oh, that's great. My score now is 579 with Equifax. Don't know if it's higher or lower with Exp or TU. Thanks so much for you info.
