You stated that you went through Homebanc. I just called them and I will receive a phone call sometime this evening. Were they very helpful in helping you obtain a mortgage? Even with some past credit problems? I hope you see this post in time.

Re: mother Yes, my lender was extremely helpful. I started my whole process 11 mos. before I even closed on my home (long story). At any rate, the first time he pulled my credit, my score was 549. Told me that I had to get it to 580 to qualify for my loan. That was fine ~ I had a long time before closing. Told me everything I needed to do. Write letters, pay bills, write credit explanations, etc.
Re: mother oh, that's great. My score now is 579 with Equifax. Don't know if it's higher or lower with Exp or TU. Thanks so much for you info.
