Yesterday, my brother receieved Capital One Platinum MC from Capital One to replace his Kmart MC.It came with the letter. With your new card you will continue to enjoy all the convience you expect--such as worldwide Mastercard acceptance at over 27 million locations, including all Kmart store.But now, you'll also enjoy outstanding Platinum feature such as 100% fraud protection, emergency roadside assistance, travel accident insurance and more! We can' think of a better way to thank you for being a valued Capital One cardholder. Because you can no loner access your Kmart credit line, we adjusted your account. Hey Ron, I just called Capital One and the rep told me that the Kmart MC is only converted to a number of people they still offer it and my account is not being converted darn... don't mind having the platinum mc... lol.... anyways the rep told me that if I wanted that I need to apply for it... oh well.... Thanks for letting us know that... so I guess if you want to know if you are going to get coverted over you need to give them a call..... Thx, Kev

I think that almost any card except a Kmart would be a step up. I'm suprised that this card made it at all. Why would anyone want to advertise that tehy are a regular Kmart shopper everytime they use their card? A neimans mastercard or nordstrom mc sure, but a kmart one? That would be one of those cards that I would only use for balance transfers, an occasional cash advance, or for online use.
