Anyone ever here of CSC Credit Services? I just went to the Equifax website to put in a couple of online disputes. I had to enter my zip code, whe I did a screen came up that said i needed to contact CSC Credit Services. Apparently the handle all disputes with Equifax for my area??? I searched the web and found some information about them, they are a large consulting/out sourcing from that does all kinds of stuff besides credit.
My question is, does anyone know if there is a CSC website I can do online disputes at? If I do it by mail do I send it to Equifax or CSC? Finally for the people that have dealt with CSC were you successful? eaisier/harder to deal with then the other CRAs?

    Thanks,
    Crile

CSC Does now have a website that allows online disputes. I cant remember the URL offhand but a search for it on this site will bring it up I am sure. However I believe it's better to send your disputes via United States Postal Service Certified Return Receipt, so you have proof they obtained your dispute.

They have a website, but I don't recommend it, as there is no "confirmation" your dispute was received. I used it once, and it worked out OK, but its still scary.

    You send it to CSC.

They are about as unpredictable in the easy/hard department as the other CRAs.

I disagree about using their online dispute function. True, you don't get a receipt/confirmation. On the other hand, CSC has not quite figured out how to get their new website to be worthwhile for them. The reason I am pro-website is because I am now the proud recipient of THREE deletions out of 3 submitted all because CSC could not get their act together on the online dispute. Basically, I disputed 3 very hard TL's via their website. I printed out the dispute (control P which dates/times it) as well as the sheet that says "Your dispute has been received successfully" (again control p to print.) On day 20 my dispute showed up on Credit Watch. It was a Thursday. I called CSC and found out that they had just entered the dispute into their system BY HAND. They considered it Day #1 even though I submitted it online 20 days prior. Day 30 rolled around on a Sunday. Basically they had about 6 days (one of which was memorial day) to do this investigation. I called them on Monday, got a supervisor, faxed in my proof that was timed/dated. They deleted all 3!!!I don't think I would have gotten a deletion on any of these 3 any other way.

So I say use the online feature. They have no way to integrate it into their system!

Lisa, what do you mean that you had 3 hard TL's removed? Do you mean that you had 3 hard inquiries deleted from your report?

Sorry, should have used the word "Stubborn" or "Difficult." First let me say that when I started this 21 months ago, my DH and I combined had 205 inquiries, public records, and negative tradelines. Now after great great progress, I find that the same OC's are the ones that are sticking to both of us like glue--namely Capital One, Chase, MBNA. That was all I meant. Because of their technology problems, they had to delete 3 of my most difficult, stubborn tradelines (Chase, Capital One, and a BK).

I agree with Jlynn, send your disputes to CSC by CMRRR. CSC's website is very limited to HOW you can dispute.

They only let you dispute a very few reasons, I have had horrible luck disputing online, all my results are from CMRRR. You can still do the 30 day tracking that Lisa stated earlier.

Me, I don't mind spending the $4.44 to CMRRR, with a wider range of dispute reasons... Thats just my opinion.

    Re: Lisa, question for you?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having problems with them. I sent in a dispute via mail, no CMRRR, in March. I realized the other day that I never heard anything back. Part of my dispute was my address...the one they had on file was obsolete. Per their request I sent in all of the appropriate identification requesting an address change.

I pulled my EQF and the disputed item was deleted, great. I called CSC and they sent my CR to the old address. My new EQF still has that old address on it. I just sent out a second address change request today, this time CMRRR. Hopefully it will work.

Does anyone know of a better way to get an address change with CSC? They have my current address as an old address so its not like its this unheard of address.

Call them with the address change. I don't think they will give you a hard time over that! Surely not! Who knows with CSC!

    Re: Lisa, question for you?

I called them to change my address, they asked me to fax the old address, new address, and photo copies of my driver's license, and a paid utility bill.

the only problem was my driver's license had not been updated yet. So, I didn't fax anything.

The information was changed on my report a few weeks later, I assume from a credit card app that I had submitted.
