Kozman, just wondering how things were going with Jack Schrold's office. I know it has been awhile now and I am curious! Lisa
Hey, how's it going. OK, I sent Schrold's office a cancellation notice a week or so ago. There really wasn't a problem with them, it's just that I want things done faster. They would send these updates on what they removed but when I would review them either I couldn't locate the removal or if there was a removal, I most likely did it. I've been getting quite aggressive with the CRA lately and am having some results. Thanks for reminding me, I need to e-mail them to see if they received my notice of cancellation. Are you currently with them? Again, let me state that I had no problem to this point with them, I just thought we were duplicating our efforts.
I can't say that I have really had a problem with them......I am just frustrated with the whole situation. I signed my husband up. I was up to my eyeballs in lawsuits (self-filed!) against MBNA, Chase, and Equifax. I didn't have time to work on his file too. It was about 4 weeks into it--I had heard nothing whatsoever from them. I called. I left messages. I called some more. Finally I got someone is Cust Svc that said "we don't have a copy of his driver's license, that's why we have put everything on hold." The DL was in the packet with everything else that they acknowledged having. I said "look again." She promised to do that and get back with me that afternoon. She didn't call. I waited two more weeks (still have received nothing from them). I called again. This time I told the rep that no one was calling me back and I was more than a little curious as to what they were doing on his file. She said "we'll that explains a lot. You can't keep calling us over and over. We have work to do. That puts at least two people looking for the same file that should be working on something else. From now on, don't call our office. We will call you." I stil don't know if they have done anything at all on his file. I did get the initial report of the 2 CRA's. So what? What does that tell me? Equifax has not been requested (I can tell from Credit Expert). I sent them a cancellation letter yesterday and said "you have been paid $29 for the credit reports which is ample considering you haven't even ordered one of them. You consider my file incomplete and unworkable; therefore, you should have nothing to bill, correct?" I got a call from them earlier. I called them back and haven't heard a word. I just find them to be really, really unorganized and very unprofessional. I also don't like being in the dark for 40 days as to what is up with my file. Glad to hear you are having some success with the CRA's! Lisa
The thing is, if your going to do the work, do the work. You are right, they didn't let you know what was going on. And like I said, the letters from them stating "6 deletions from Experian" made me wonder, what 6 deletions? The 6 they were referencing were prior deletions I had removed. Some people have had great luck with them, some not, I guess we are in the some not catagory. Oh well, fifty bucks for a lesson isn't bad. I'm sure they will charge me for the month I cancelled in but if they do call it quits there, well, that'll be another story. Glad to hear from you......
