I just sent in the whole packet of info to Jack Schrold's office for my husband. I talked to them on the phone, no problem we'll get started right away. They have already billed my CC for the $29.95 to get his merged report.

About a month ago (before we signed up), I sent an email to Schrold's office and asked if they had had any history/experience in dealing with my husband's issues. His are all "included in bk" accounts and a 2 year old bk. It has all been disputed numerous times, so the ones that are left are the hard ones to delete. This morning I got a call from Schrold's office. The man leaves a message and says "we wish you hadn't been monkeying around with your report already because now we can't help you. Call us back in 6 months and we'll consider it then." Wait a minute--that was an old email that no longer applies--they have already started on his file!

Why would they tell me that? Is this just a case of the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing? Why would it make a difference if you had disputed before?

If Jack considers what we're trying to do "monkeying around" then screw him too.

    :(

Man, I have no idea what that's all about. I just sent them a copy of my Trans Union report. I've never received a message like that. I'm currently monkeying around with my report as they are as well. I'm giving them a month or two more then that's it because I think my report will be as clean as it can get. You ought to find out who sent that to you. Very rude if you ask me.

    Kozman:

I wasn't really worried about the rude tone of the message, I was more wondering "why?" I talked to them once before and the man said 90 days of no activity. The message said 6 months. The rep I signed up with over the phone mentioned nothing about a time limit at all, never asked a question trying to ascertain if we had every disputed anything, it was not even an issue.

So, if you were me, would you call Schrold's office back? They now have all his paperwork, the fees have been paid, the credit reports pulled. For all I know, they have initiated the first round of disputes. Should I call them and say "wait a minute, we have been disputing this report on our own?"

Lastly, what do you think the issues could be with them doing it and us doing it first? I can't think of any.

To be completely honest, I think they don't want you messing with it because they want to take credit for having the items removed. Like I said, I'll give them a month or so and I'll see how things look. Some old mortgage payments are really my only concern.I thought they might have an easier time with it than me but I'm thinking I might be wrong. I'd still call them if I were you. Cancel if they say they won't be able to do anything for you.

Same to you as well! I figured that for 50 bucks a month for a few months couldn't hurt. If they do the trick on a few things, great, if not, oh well. I've actually had pretty good luck with goodwill letters, disputing and contacting the OC, so we'll see if Schrold can do anymore. Keep me informed of how your progress is going and I'll do the same.
