Wow...what a busy weekend. I had a few parties to attend and decided to go shopping with a girlfriend. We ended up at Lane Bryant. I needed to buy a birthday gift for anther girlfriend of mine and she loves that store. I picked out this really nice pin striped suit and shirt (she needs work clothes) and it came to about $90. Of course when the lady asked if I wanted to open up an account, I said not....then she had to tell me that they were giving 15% off just for applying! I couldn't resist....besides Lane Bryant's credit cards are issued through World Financial Network National Bank. This is the same bank that does Victoria's Secret. I applied for instant credit at VS and got a card...DON'T ASK ME HOW! VS pulled EXN and my scores was around 586 or so with a satisfied judgment, and three paid student loan collections (I can't remember if the paid Ford chargeoff was on there at the time or not). So I decided to applied for Lane Bryant only to get the discount and a free credit report (I don't think there's been much change in my score...if so it's probably lower). Well that didn't work because I was approved! I was shocked...got a $250 limit. Now I don't know what to do....I don't even shop there. I guess I'll "Discover" it after I pay the balance off. So I'm 2 for 2 with WFNNB.

Hang around the outside of the store and say to customers..."YOU GIVE ME THE CASH AND I'LL PUT IT ON MY CARD?"
Jokes! Cute Superman....cute! I'll give them a call and see what they can do. I'm starting to get the impression that if you apply for credit in the store and the associate calls the application in (as opposed to doing it via the register)....as long as you have SOME decent credit you'll be approved. I'm sure they don't want to embarass customers in the store during these trying times. I bet if I would of applied on line, I would of probably got denied. Humm....interesting....

I dunno, because I three times tried to get instant credit (not in the last six-seven months) and was told I had to wait for a letter. I might test it with Fashion Bug and Lane Bryant. I did finally get that Chevron card I wanted
