I had one of these. Somehow the creditor had it listed as a paid charge-off (it wasn't paid), but HEY I AIN'T COMPLAINING. As a result, it came off with the first dispute.
This is a great strategy, I would definitely go this route if I ever hit bottom, that's the great thing about credit cards, nothing can ever really be verified, it's not like a mortgage document where everything is notarized, witnessed, & recorded.
Did you file suit for deletion because the creditors didn't validate or was it just to "scare" them into deletion? Also, how was it "cloaked" from coming back? I'd love to do this with several old charge-offs if they don't get removed by the CRA's.
