Yes I got my summons to pretrial a whopping few days before the date to appear. I have been doing online investigation as I am currently unemployed and cannot afford attorney. I am in Palm Beach county florida. The last payment was made Sept 04, according to fl s. 95.11 ( 3) I have 4 year statute of limitations on this store credit card. Asset Acceptance filed the claim. They filed it MONTHS ago.. am I out of luck because they FILED in August? I am not even sure if they have evidence when I made payments, but I dont really know which way to turn. I did get a settlement offer which expires on the 31st ( a day after pre-trial) I might be able to scrape together the cash for that if I have to. But do you think they will just throw that out the window if its already been in court. Any ideas?
they might make an offer before court but what ever you do show up.if they do make an offer you might try for pfd.
