Was wondering if anyone had any last minute tips regarding a citation to appear in court tomorrow to discover income and assets in regard to a judgment?

I'll take all the thoughts I can get ... If anything, it will help to take my mind of the situtation and calm my nerves some.

Have a bottle of your favorite alcoholic beverage ready for after the hearing.

Just kidding. I wish you luck.

Valiums. Take 10 mg and you can handle anything, IF you can stay awake. LOL.

    Mycroft,

Perhaps your wishing me luck actually worked?!

Apparently the ca's lawyer never reverified the balance of the checking account. They only checked the balance once - on the first day they issued the citation a few weeks ago ... Which is a good thing because a few days after their initial inquiry, a rather large direct deposit posted to my account. All they walked away with was $3.63 ... the judge actually laughed.

As it turned out, I was able to negotiate a new repayment plan ... instead of $200 I'm now only paying $30 a month ...

Never thought I'd be drinking that beer in celebration of a victory-albeit a small one.

    Cheers!

    Congratulations!

I know there are a few people here who think I'm really hard-core pro-creditor, but I've had my own bank account sucked dry a long time ago, and that really bites. I'm glad they only skinned you for a few bucks, and I'm really glad you had a great day in court. I bet it made that beer taste even better. ;)

    regarding court...

Yeah things worked out pretty good ... All I originally wanted was to get the monthly payments reduced ... $200 a month was killing me! I can't believe how stubborn this particular ca was ... I offered them a 75% settlement on two separate occasions ... never seemed to phase them! In looking back ... I'm glad it's over, even if I did end up w/a full judgment on all three reports ... w/just a little more luck maybe I can work on getting that off my cr's well before 2009!! Who Knows, maybe I can put that $170 I'm saving towards getting the judgment vacated?
