Got the last result that I was waiting on regarding my RNB accounts. Equifaxâ??s response was â??This creditor is currently reporting a zero balance for this accountâ? I was disputing the re-aging of the account not the balance. I already know the balance is $0, I paid it. Second, the date on the updated credit report is April 1. The CCCR card was signed 2/28 doesnâ??t that mean that they violated the 30-day rule?

No violation. The 30 days starts 5 says after they receive your dispute. You might try demanding they delete it anyway since 30 days have passed since you disputed the dates, not the amounts.

Thanks so much for the response. I was waiting for this last result to come back so I can go after RNB them full tilt. What a way to spend a Sunday, composing dispute letters. I need a life.

You may be able to go after the cra also. I'm not sure how that would work, but if you dispute one thing and they verify another, that is their problem. I would think they would have to correct the listing in favor of how you disputed it. You might want to call the FTC Monday and ask them what they think about this. I bet they say if it's more than 30 days, they must update it.

I spent many weekends writing letters, rewriting letters and rerewriting letters. I know how you feel. But it's worth it when you get the positive results. I am done with my repair since January, and I still spend Sunday on here. Once you're hooked, your weekends will never be the same.
