Does anyone have any strategies for late payment removal other than goodwill letters or repeated disputes with CRAs. I have failed miserably in my attempts using these tactics to get late pays removed and any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Make creditor prove the dates due and paid.

Thanks Lbrown. Are creditors required by law to provide proof of late payments?

I seems that if they can report false information, they better be able to prove it.

Fair Credit reporting act, section 623. Check it out.

If they didn't they could say you were late any time they wanted to and charge you all kinds of bogus late fees and you would be stuck with always having to pay up.

Any time anyone is claiming they are owed money they had better be able to prove it.

We had a late fee show up on one of our FIRST USA accounts...they said it was late...I SAID NO WAY!!! MY BANK SAID NO WAY!!! FIRST USA backed down "COMPUTER ERROR".

They tried to get away with saying it was POSTED one week AFTER it CLEARED my checking account!!!
