Has anybody had any luck getting First Consumers National Bank to remove a 30 day late payment? How did you go about?
Most companies will remove one late payment a year. I recently paid twice in one month but missed the next month by a day. I asked them (Macy's) to re-allocate the payment to the missed month. They did and removed the late fee. We also had 4 other late fees in one month when an auto accident left us dazed and confused(doing better). All four companies removed the late fee and the credit bureau entries. Just contact them with a basic reason and ask that they kindly remove it. Offer to make a current payment over the phone to show that you want to keep up with your account.
