I have seen in several postings that people have mentioned that when a large payment is made (e.g. to pay off a 0% balance transfer) that the cc company may not report the payment being made to the CRA for several months. Is there any way to force the cc company to report this payment promptly?
LOL this is happening to me with DMB PAID in FULL and still show a balance on my three credit reports, I would NOT dispute with the CRA, they might delete the entire tradeline. =)
Re: Re: Late posting of payments DMB does not report on a regular basis anyway. Look for the pattern in their reporting - if they only report twice a year or 4 times a year, then you can't really attribute it to their not wanting to report that the account is paid. If they report every single month, and then break the pattern by not reporting when you pay it off, THEN you've got something. Like Citi did to me - I was transferring a balance around to get a specific effect, put it on my Citi card for two days, then paid it off about a week before the account closing date - they reported the balance. I like them anyway, hehe, but that kinda got my goat. They did update the next month so all is well.
PAID in FULL and still shows a balance on my three credit reports, I exotic ================ Artificial over utilization for which you get to pay overcharges for interest and insurance. Nice ain't it? THE END ** *** ** LB 59

Re: Re: Late posting of payments You have to DISPUTE with the CRA'S~~BALANCE $0 YOU ALWAYS RISK TOTAL REMOVAL OF AN ACCOUNT WHEN YOU DISPUTE ANYTHING ABOUT THE ACCOUNT!!! I lost AMEX BLUE because I wanted the credit limit 100% CORRECT!!! N/A CREDIT LIMIT WAS 100% WRONG!!! I LOST THE WHOLE ACCOUNT OFF EXPERIAN...FOREVER!!!
Re: Re: Re: Late posting of payments GEORGE is right, where you ever able to get the account back on your Experian report? did you contact the creditor to re-insert or update the CRA?
