Its been a little over a year now, (July 21 2000 I started) and now the fruits of the labor are starting to trickle in. My scores are only in the mid 600's but today I received a Mervyn's card that was not instant approval, $300 limit. I applied the same day for a Target card which was instant approval $200. Best is we opened escrow today for a house. 7.5% interest on a $100,000 loan. I was not sure at all about doing this so soon but had to. All I can say is I am very glad I started this repair process when I did, and, I have learned a hard lesson about handling my financial affairs that I will not forget. Thanks to all of you for sharing what has worked and not worked. By the way, 30 days ago I disputed 5 inquiries online with Experian. (Not Credit Expert at the time) Today I got the notice that all 5 have been deleted. I'll let you know if my scores go up. John
